Job Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative:

  • Handle incoming phone calls from customers with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Respond to customer inquiries received by phone, and email.
  • Enter, process, and approve all customer orders accurately.
  • Resolve customer requests in a timely manner regarding order processing issues.
  • Work with Logistics and other operating functions regarding delivery and service matters.
  • Ability to learn Hanna catalog in order to recommend accessories, add-ons and alternative products to customers.
  • Upsell of consumable and replacement products when appropriate.
  • Update and maintain accurate CRM records.

Knowledge and Skills required for Customer Service Representative:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in customer service/call center setting.
  • Prior experience with selling products to customers preferred.
  • Experience in relevant industry such as manufacturing or selling of consumables preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Computer literacy required, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Prior experience with CRM preferred.

The primary focus of the Territory Sales Representative is to maintain, develop and grow existing customer accounts as well as solicit new business from prospective customers in all market segments in the Southeast. The Applications team directly aids in the sales of our instruments (primarily our titration and spectrophotometer lines) by providing support through technical expertise.

Hanna Instruments is seeking a technically-savvy person with a solid foundation in chemistry to install, service, and support our line of titrators and spectrophotometers. This role works closely with the Regional Sales Representatives. The individual should have 1-3 years of titration experience, 1-3 years hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience, and familiarity in writing reports and SOPs. They must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong willingness to help. They also must be capable of working both independently and in a team setting, and be comfortable in both laboratory and industrial work environments. Job Responsibilities for a Applications Engineer:

  • Provides exceptional customer service and value through onsite instrument installation, method optimization, instrument service, and personnel training (40-60% travel required).
  • Coordinates, schedules, and leads titrator installations and titrator service visits.
  • Leads service selling in the region. Initiates prospecting calls with current customers to seek out service opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains a strong relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with direct customers and other channel partners, distribution management, and strategic accounts.

Knowledge & Skills for a Field Service Technician:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or closely related field preferred.

  • Exceptional proactive and reactive problem-solving skills.
  • 2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory of qualitative or quantitative analyses.
  • 1 year of hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with scientific equipment.
  • Must possess strong time management skills with the ability to juggle/prioritize a busy schedule over a large regional territory.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with peers, management, and customers in a professional manner.
